Description

Monitor, measure and influence team progress whilst creating and foster a culture that strives to add and drive value and innovation within the team. Manage engineering schedules to meet construction schedule and coordinate activities of the unit to integrate activities with other units. Prepare and review technical recommendations, cost estimates, budgets, bids, and scopes for contracts with a focus to maximising Net Asset Value for the project. Provide input into long-term planning (Life of Asset, 5-year plan, 2-year budget and short-range forecast). Establish plans, budgets and performance targets for the Engineering sub-functions in line with Operational requirements and standards and ensure delivery against them. Ensure the Engineering functions outputs contribute towards achievement of Operational targets and budgets.

Education

B.E / B.Tech

Specification

Previous experience working in the underground coal industry is a must. Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline, i.e. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred. Extensive mining industry experience in Operations, Engineering, Asset Management Contract Management and Design/Equipment delivery. High level of leadership and relationship building ability with strong and effective communication and engagement skills, to achieve consensus and build alignment cooperatively with all stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in cross functional groups and create and foster a cooperative team environment.
